Health Fair Hosted by Mexican Consulate Dec. 8


The Mexican Consulate will open its doors to the public on December 8, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3151 West Fifth Street in Oxnard. 

About 400 people are expected to attend, and all health care agencies, clinics, hospitals, community organizations, banks, credit unions are invited to provide information about their services, programs and activities. 

As an added bonus, this Saturday, the Consulate will also offer a free health fair.  Officials from the state governments of Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Colima, Durango, DF, Zacatecas, Guerrero and Puebla, based in Los Angeles, will have information on procedures for obtaining birth certificates, school records, divorce decrees, provided in small groups and in one-on-one consultations.

El Consulado de México informa al público en general que abrirá sus puertas este sábado 8 de diciembre. Se esperan cerca de 400 personas y se invita a todas las agencias de salud, clínicas, hospitales, organizaciones comunitarias, bancos y uniones de crédito para dar información sobre sus actividades y programas. 

Como valor adicional a esta Jornada Sabatina, el Consulado ofrecerá una Feria de Salud gratuita y nos acompañarán funcionarios de las Oficinas de los Gobiernos Estatales de Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Colima, Durango, Distrito Federal, Zacatecas, Guerrero y Puebla, con sede en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California, que darán información sobre trámites para obtener documentos como actas de nacimiento, certificados escolares, actas de divorcio, en grupos pequeños y consultas personales.

Dora Padilla Elected to Oxnard City Council

Congratulations to Dora Padilla, recently elected to the Oxnard City Council. 

Last week's final vote count puts Ms. Padilla on the Oxnard City Council - at 24 years old.
